Austin House is a friendly and welcoming co-educational house which is a crucial stepping stone for pupils as they transition to a senior school environment. Austin House promotes a positive, safe and inclusive environment allowing Year 7 and 8 boys and girls to flourish as part of a close and happy community. We hold regular House activities and social events for both pupils and parents, with some highlights including pupil-led conferences, performance evenings, coffee mornings and fundraising challenges for our House charity.
Mr Paul Harrison (pictured below) took over as Housemaster in January 2025. Mr Harrison is also a teacher of Geography and Games, as well as Careers Coordinator at the School, overseeing a careers programme from Austin House through to Year 13. Mr Harrison has gained vast experience from other independent schools to help in his role as Housemaster. He has worked as Director of Sport, Head of Geography and Head of House. He is married with a young son, Willoughby. The family loves to travel, explore and keep active through sport and exercise.
Mr Harrison is supported by Assistant Housemistress Miss Kat Rosati, Matron Lena Weaver and a tutor team consisting of Miss Rosati and Mrs Elisa Harrod (Year 7), Ms Elaine Pieters and Mrs Esmé Mustian Atkinson (Year 8).
