Worth’s young athletes performed superbly at the Sussex Area Preparatory Schools Athletics trials, with a record number being chosen to represent Sussex at the nationals next month.
The School sent a team of 10 to the trials, which was the last athletics meet of the year, and strong performances from all competitors ensured a top five finish in their age group.
Five athletes achieved a call-up to the Sussex team who will compete in the nationals at Nuneaton on 3 July, the largest cohort Worth has ever had. Even more impressive was that the boys all qualified for individual events but as a team for the relay too.
Well done to all 10 of our athletes who competed so impressively and well done to the five who will now represent Sussex at the nationals.
Worth has a strong reputation for athletics.
