The library at Worth, situated in the fabulous Spencer Building, is a wonderful resource to support all learning as well as reading for pleasure.
It is open to 8.30pm in the evening throughout the week for day pupils as well as boarders and the library has printed books in a variety of languages as well as e-books in a small selection of European languages.
At Worth, we know the importance of reading, both for study and for pleasure, and to encourage this we run a Book of the Month competition when students nominate a book they have enjoyed for their peers to read.
This month’s winning nomination comes from Year 12 student Theo Norfolk-Thompson who recommended ‘They Both Die at the End' by Adam Silvera. The book is about two teenage boys, Mateo and Rufus, who discover that they only have one day left to live. This book has earned numerous accolades including selection for American Library Association’s (ALA) Best Fiction for Young Adults. It is part of our Senior Fiction collection for older readers.
Well done Theo.
