Students at Worth have a great sense of service and they excelled themselves again with this week’s annual staff versus students charity hockey match in aid of Breast Cancer Now.
There was a large turnout of students and parents to support the match on Tuesday evening, with many wearing pink to mark the occasion, while the Friends of Worth, our parent association, provided free hot chocolate and marshmallows which was warmly appreciated on a cold evening. The match itself was fiercely competitive with the staff team winning 3-2.
Students who organised the match set a target of raising £1,000 which they have already exceeded but they are still hoping to raise more. If you can support them, please click here.
Well done to the students who organised this match.
Meanwhile, boys in Rutherford are supporting Movember for a fifth successive year, having raised an amazing £10,00 during the last four years. Sixth Form students and House staff will each be growing a moustache to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide. Thank you to Matthew Laird for additional photography.
