Another first for lacrosse at Worth

There was another first for sport at Worth last weekend as our senior girls’ lacrosse team competed in the national schools’ championships for the first time.

This is a significant step for Worth lacrosse, which is growing at a fast rate at the School with opportunities to play the sport now available to boys as well as girls.

Worth are the first new school to be accepted into the national schools’ event in a long time and while we did not win a game there was great progress shown throughout the tournament. The girls showed tremendous resilience, bravery and perseverance, playing against three of the top schools in the country on the opening day and there was plenty of celebration when Bea scored our first goal at the event.

The girls will be taking part in a small schools’ tournament this weekend.
