Another fine golfing achievement

Worth golfers secured another fine achievement as they finished a highly creditable sixth out of 20 schools in the national Independent Schools Golf Association HG Trophy.

Competing at The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club, the team of Juan, Joaco and Jacob performed extremely well in the Nett competition of this 18-hole handicap stroke play event. This achievement followed that of Worth reaching the national finals of the ISGA Team Matchplay Tournament.

Three days after the HG Trophy, one of our golfers, Yago, took part in qualifying for The Open Championship. A three-over par round of 75 was not enough to qualify but was still an excellent effort.

It has been a successful year for golf at Worth and the School’s reputation for the sport continues to grow. Worth has its own golf course on the campus and offers excellent coaching opportunities to pupils, whatever their level of ability.
