An evening of creativity, collaboration and musical excellence

Worth’s termly Ensembles Concert last Thursday was another fabulous evening as we celebrated the creativity, collaboration and musical excellence of our students.

These concerts are an opportunity for our ensembles to perform this term’s music making to an audience of parents, friends and fellow students in the Abbey Church.

There were performances from the Concert Band, saxophone, flute and brass ensembles, the Jazz Orchestra, the Cello Ensemble, Chamber Choir, String Quartet and the Worth School Symphony Orchestra.

A wide assortment of repertoire ranged from Mozart’s ‘Don Giovanni’ played by the Symphony Orchestra to jazz standards including ‘Comin’ Home Baby’, to pop and film music arrangements played by the Concert Band.

The evening also provided a chance to say farewell and thank you to retiring Assistant Director of Music Mr Stephen Rodwell for his immense contribution to music at Worth. This included a presentation from students and a standing ovation from the audience at the end.

There are so many ways to get involved with music at Worth.
