Academic excellence rewarded

Mon, Jun 13th, 2022
Worth School

Congratulations to our Year 13 academic subject prize winners.

These annual awards are made for exceptional attainment in a particular subject. Prizes were presented on Speech Day by the Head Master, Mr Stuart McPherson, and Deputy Head (Academic), Mrs Alice McNeill.

Mrs McNeill said: “The Year 13 academic prize winners epitomise the spirit of academic life at Worth. Endeavour, persistence and intellectual risk-taking have all been recognised in these prizes.

“The prize winners hold offers from the most elite universities and should be justly proud of their achievements.

“It was very hard in many cases for Heads of Department to choose just one winner, and the entire cohort should be proud of their excellent academic approach, attitude and most Worthian of all, mutual support. They have set a high bar for the incoming Year 13 who are already embracing the opportunities of independent and collaborative Year 13 study in the Spencer Building each evening.”
