Worth is very fortunate in attracting high-calibre speakers for its lecture programme. Attendance is compulsory for Year 12 students, but staff, the monastic community and students in Years 11 and 13 are also welcome. Lectures normally take place on Friday in the PAC at 12.10pm.
“Academic scholarship beyond the classroom is outstanding.” ISI Inspection 2017.
The Worth Challenge is a programme of lectures and interactive workshops open to all able and interested members of Years 9 and 10. It aims to stimulate intellectual curiosity by introducing students to areas of study way beyond the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curricula.
The Worth Challenge runs for the first two terms of the school year and in the Summer Term gives rise to a prize essay competition which is open to all members of Years 9 and 10.
