At the end of a calendar year when Worth won awards for Boarding School of the Year and for its alumni mentoring, Head Master Mr Stuart McPherson has delivered the following Christmas message to the Worth community:
As we conclude a vibrant and productive term, I want to thank our students, staff and families for their hard work and dedication. When I look back to the whole year, it has been heartening to see how the school values have shone brightly in every achievement and act of kindness.
From national sports and debating triumphs, breath-taking music recitals and creative arts to caring for and respecting one another and our environment, success takes many forms here at Worth. Throughout it all, students are encouraged to appreciate their day-to-day lives, the privileges and the support they have, to push themselves – often out of their comfort zones – and to make a positive difference to those around them.
Excitement for Christmas has been gaining momentum across campus these past weeks, culminating in our Christmas Cheer event and beautiful candlelit Carol Service which were wonderful ways to welcome in as a community the blessed and festive season.
I wish you all a restful break filled with joy, reflection and time with loved ones.
Stuart McPherson
Head Master
