1st XI girls win opening fixture
Tue, May 11th, 2021
Worth’s 1st XI girls’ football team enjoyed a 7-1 win in their first fixture of the academic year.
In what seems to be the School’s traditional curtain raising match, the girls secured an impressive victory against an Ardingly U15 side who graciously agreed to play ‘up’. The girls acquitted themselves well, with several of them enjoying their first ever game of competitive football.
Stiffer tests await in the shape of two seven-a-side tournaments and a game against Ardingly’s 1st XI over the coming weeks.
Girls’ football is offered as part of the sporting programme at Worth.
