Worthians Carol Service is a fabulous occasion

The second Worthians Carol Service was a fabulous occasion with more than 250 people in attendance.

The school choir sang wonderfully at the event, which was held at St Patrick’s Church, Soho Square, London, on Wednesday evening.

Numbers were up significantly from last year, when the inaugural Worthians Carol Service was held. The service included a welcome from Abbot Luke plus readings from Jeremy Fletcher, chairman of the Worth Society, Head Master Stuart McPherson plus Worthians William Featherby, Mark Collini and Charlotte Cotterell.

After the service there was a reception in the function room at St Patrick’s Church where mulled wine, mince pies and canapes were served. Food and drink were provided by Worth School’s Catering department and the whole occasion was superbly organised.

There was a retiring collection for St Patrick’s Outreach Programme which offers twice-weekly home cooked meals and a weekly night shelter to the homeless and vulnerable.
