Worth finish third at Sussex U14 Rugby Sevens

Worth finished third overall at the Sussex U14 Rugby Sevens hosted by the School on Wednesday.

The competition was seen as good preparation for the National Sevens to be held at Rosslyn Park next week.

Worth A won all four of their pool games to progress to the final round and, although they played some good sevens with ball in hand, they lost out to Brighton and Hurst to finish third.

Sports Teacher Mr Alan Mitchell said: “The team will have learned a great deal from this. The fact that they have a finisher in Kitan Ojo, who was Worth’s top try scorer, should mean that they will be competitive in future matches.”

The competition, which was held at Worth, was won by Brighton College. Worth B team were also involved in the competition.
