Valentine's Day roses raise money for House charity
St Mary’s girls have been playing Cupid ahead of Valentine’s Day to raise money for their House charity.
The girls have been busy over the last couple of weeks in dealing with orders of roses to be delivered for Valentine’s Day and their efforts have raised £540 for Mary’s Meals.
The fundraising idea was introduced by St Mary’s boarders several years ago and the Worth community has taken to it with increasing enthusiasm.
St Mary’s purchased 630 roses and once the orders were in each rose was carefully hand labelled with the recipient’s name and a message in readiness to be delivered.
The girls involved in this mammoth effort were sworn to secrecy so that anonymity was protected. Well done to all involved.
