Raising awareness of youth homelessness
Four students from St Mary’s House successfully completed a charity walk from Worth School to Brighton Pier and they are hoping their efforts will raise awareness of youth homelessness.
Every year more than 150,000 young people ask for help with homelessness and the four girls undertook the walk to raise money for Centrepoint, a charity which aims to improve the lives of homeless teenagers across the country.
Arianna Buccino, Jane Neave, Sophie Steinebach and Feli Zoellner completed the 35km walk on 19th March in about eight and a half hours. They were accompanied by Mr Steinebach, without whom it would not have been possible.
The girls said: “It was a very rewarding experience for all of us and gave us an amazing sense of achievement. Any support for the charity would be greatly appreciated.”
