One win and good experience for Worth equestrian rider
It was a busy Easter break for Worth equestrian rider Zara Lewis.
Zara and her pony Langar attended a two-day camp for Southern BYRDS riders, held at Parwood Equestrian Centre. Zara and Langar were up against some of the region’s hottest competition but successfully won their section with an impressive 71.25%
Two days later it was all go again for the duo as they set off to Addington Manor for the NSEA National Dressage Championships. Although Zara and Langar were not fortunate enough to win their class and be crowned champions, the overall experience was fantastic.
Zara, who was representing the Worth School Equestrian Team, said: “That is what makes riding such a challenge, horses are not machines, you never know 100% what will happen at each competition. When it does all come together it is a massive reward and all the hard work is worthwhile. On the days it all seems to go wrong, I know there will always be another day.”
