Forthcoming concerts at Worth Abbey
There are some special concerts in Lent at Worth Abbey which promise to be hugely enjoyable occasions.
Visitors are welcome to join the monks and parishioners of Worth Abbey for this exciting programme of events.
On Sunday 5th March, Joseph Haydn’s wonderfully fresh St Nicholas Mass will be sung by the joint choirs of the Abbey Choral Society and Kidbrooke Park Singers including four fabulous young professional soloists.
Orchestral works will include two concerto movements by JS Bach and Hoffmeister as well as orchestral music by Susato and Coates. This concert is in aid of Outreach Peru, the development fund of Worth Abbey for Peru. Click here for more details.
On Sunday 12th March, there will be a concert of organ music with D’Arcy Trinkwon, the renowned Worth Abbey organist.
Then a week later the Sequence of Music for Lent will be held, which will include choral and organ music for Lent, all of which is full of drama and passion. Click here for more.
All three events start at 7.30pm and visitors are welcome to attend. There is disabled parking and access.
